Use this DC isolator to provide an isolated (non-grounded) supply voltage when installing outdoor or wet area sensors with TRM-Easy5-Relay-U or TRM-Easy5-Relay-SDR. The output of this isolator is floating with respect to local earth ground and is used to energize both the sensors and monitoring relays in applications where the sensors may be exposed to standing storm water. Isolating the supply voltage from earth ground prevents sensor corrosion which may be the case if the control cabinet supply has a grounded 0V rail.
The isolator is only required for outdoor, wet outdoor installations. It is not needed for indoor sensors like TRM-DFS-3 or TRM-IOS.
